Summary:
At the end of November 2022, we were commissioned by a foreign client to export from Shekou to Laem Chabang Port Thailand for 11 empty self-owned containers. Upon receiving the client’s commission, our company began actively gathering relevant information and applied for booking space with the shipping company. Since these were self-owned containers and not loaded with cargo, they could only be exported as empty containers.

After receiving the SO, our company encountered another issue—customs clearance. Since these were empty second-hand containers and not typical cargo, the shipping company used to assist with customs clearance. However, due to some previous clients secretly placing goods inside empty containers, the shipping company stopped providing this service. We had to use our own resources to find a solution for the customs clearance issue and eventually resolved it for the client. However, due to tight timing, we missed the original shipping schedule.
After missing the shipping date, we actively applied to the shipping company again, provided the necessary documents, and obtained a new SO. Unfortunately, we then faced the impact of the pandemic, with many truck drivers falling ill and unable to work, leading to low efficiency. We had to deal with container transportation issues due to the driver shortage. We actively coordinated resources to arrange driver scheduling and completed the transportation of the 11 self-owned containers.
Once the containers were returned to the terminal, we immediately handled customs clearance, waited for customs release, and uploaded the additional documents and VGM to the shipping company. We processed everything quickly, waiting for the containers to be loaded onto the ship, which then set sail smoothly. After a five-day journey, they successfully arrived at Laem Chabang Port in Thailand.
The unique nature of the cargo meant the process was extraordinary. We faced challenges with customs clearance, transportation, and the pandemic, but none of these obstacles defeated us. This exceptional order demonstrated our company’s strength and professional responsibility, earning high praise from the client and laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.
